Dear Readers,

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who responded to the last issue; your comments were humbling to say the least.

As we expand the scope and coverage of this publication to encompass property rights issues from coast to coast and border to border, we want your help. We need to know what YOU want and need from Standing Ground.

We will continue to cover all of the large nationwide concerns, but we need to know what is going on in your neck of the woods. This month’s story about Tim Jones outlines the problems in my backyard, the Adirondack Mountains of New York. I need to know what is causing your rights to be compromised. The one thing that cockroaches (both insect and human) cannot tolerate is a bright light and a lot of noise. Standing our ground together, we can generate both.

Make no mistake about it; we are all in this together. We will all stand or fail by our level of commitment to each other and the principles we all hold dear. I would hope that the rights guaranteed to us by our forefathers not be lost on our watch.

Ronald Reagan said it best:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on to them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
